Overview
Provides programme support, particularly financial management for large-scale budgets and multiple funding streams, compressed timelines, and high fiduciary risk, including overseeing and monitoring country office financial planning and transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to programme portfolio formulation, implementation, management and monitoring.
- Create and manage projects in Quantum, including requisitions, receipts, budget revisions, and project status.
- Track, monitor, and report on project resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with UNDP policies and regulations for project approval, implementation, operations, and closure.
- Generate reports on project implementation and status.
- Facilitate Individual Contracts (IC) processes and initiate CPU requests.
- Maintain contract management, including amendments and clearance processes.
- Process requests for payments in Quantum and facilitate clearance of COPs.
- Support other procurement processes and perform market research.
- Facilitate travel requests and monitor travel-related payments.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, workshops, and events.
- Support HR recruitment and separation processes.
- Backstop procurement processes and unit members on programme management during absences.
- Prepare information for project audits and support implementation of audit recommendations.
- Collect and disseminate information related to the thematic area, including inputs for donor reports.
- Organize, update, and maintain project/programme-related documents and ensure proper digital filing.
- Prepare reports synthesizing lessons learned and good practices.
- Contribute to and administer events pertaining to UNDP knowledge networks.
- Support the development of training, learning materials and activities.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (With bachelor’s degree) of professional experience in programme, operations, or administrative management at the national and/or international level.
- Experience in managing finance, HR and administrative operations is required.
- Experience in programme/project management, monitoring and reporting is required.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, Political or Social Sciences, or related field is required.
- Or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
