Overview

Associate Communication Officer to support the implementation and adaptation of communication and advocacy strategies for the MAB Programme’s extrabudgetary projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and produce communication and information materials.
  • Contribute to public awareness campaigns.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication activities and prepare reports.
  • Develop and maintain information networks.
  • Support the production of written communication materials.
  • Contribute to content development for websites, social media platforms, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with communication officers and Programme Specialists.
  • Participate in inter-agency communication forums.
  • Ensure project initiatives are promoted across various media channels.
  • Facilitate information exchange and support communication with colleagues and partners.
Required Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in advocacy and communication, preferably one (1) year acquired at the international level.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in communication, journalism, public relations, or a relevant field.

Languages Required
Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of English; Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of French or Spanish, and good knowledge of the other.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official language of UNESCO (Arabic, Chinese, Russian).
