Overview

The Research and Partnership Analyst will support the Food and Power Initiative (FPI) and Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA) by conducting research, developing knowledge products, and facilitating partnerships to advance food systems transformation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on power asymmetries, political economy, and inner change for food systems transformation.
  • Develop case studies, reports, and blogs documenting developments and lessons learned.
  • Moderate the FPI Community of Practice and maintain its resource library.
  • Support the design and facilitation of learning events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Implement learning, monitoring, and evaluation processes to assess programme impact.
  • Coordinate thematic Working Groups and the Advisory Committee for FPI.
  • Carry out outreach for new FPI members and mediate the admission process.
  • Act as the focal point for FPI Members.
  • Participate in Working Groups of relevant networks, including the One Planet Network and UN-Nutrition.
  • Identify, synthesize, and document best practices and lessons learned.
Required Experience

Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are required to have minimum of two years of professional work experience in sustainable development project management support-related functions (planning, communications, reporting, research). Desired experience includes supporting projects on food systems transformation, agriculture, or rural development; convening and moderating communities of practice; developing knowledge products; coordinating multi-partner initiatives; and working with UNDP and/or other UN organizations.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master´s degree or equivalent) in Anthropology, Development Studies, Agriculture, Economics, Environment Science, or other related fields; or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above fields, in combination with two additional years of relevant experience.
