Overview
Provide video/audio/webcasting services and operate relevant equipment for internal and external meetings and conferences. Support all UN Agencies hosted at UN City and WHO meetings held outside the Regional Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, organization and implementation of audio/video/webcasting and relevant technical support to meetings, conferences and other events.
- Manages proactively the operation of the conference halls AV and interpretation systems and all other equipment.
- Programmes and operates AV systems and stage lights, setting up and handling web casting, videoconferencing and internet-based communication.
- Responsible for the recording of key top-level meetings and events and dissemination as appropriate.
- Rearranges conference halls and meeting rooms to meet technical and physical requirements.
- Liaises with staff at all levels in the UN City to plan, anticipate, provide and improve the required services.
- Functions as a dedicated ASC resource for video/audio production and support, including web casting and recording of conferences.
- Acts as a technical resource for the Regional Administrative Services Manager and the Operations Officer on AV systems, interpretation equipment and streaming services.
Required Experience
- At least five years of experience operating video/audio/webcasting equipment in support of meetings and conferences.
- Experience in coordinating external contractors and technicians.
- Desirable: Relevant experience working in WHO or in the UN; experience supporting international conferences in various locations.
Qualifications
- Essential: Completion of secondary school of equivalent.
- Desirable: Training in audio visual systems installation, operation and maintenance.
