Overview
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication approach and deliver high-quality communication outputs to support UNICEF Philippines and partners in strategically positioning the Global Ministerial Meeting on Ending Violence Against Children and related events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a communications and visibility plan for UNICEF Philippines’ engagement in the GMC, ASEAN ICT Forum and Safer Internet Month (pre-, during, and post-event).
- Align messaging with global GMC, ASEAN ICT Forum and Safer Internet Month positioning and national priorities.
- Identify key channels to engage identified audiences and tailor communication approaches.
- Coordinate production of UNICEF Philippines multimedia assets.
- Repackage existing human-interest stories.
- Coordinate and ensure quality control of videographer and photographer on event coverage output.
- Ensure content alignment with GMC, ASEAN ICT Forum and Safer Internet Month themes.
- Produce messaging briefs and talking points.
- Support the planning and execution of media outreach.
- Draft social media content packages.
- Provide communication support for selected GMC sessions, ASEAN ICT Summit, Safer Internet Month or related events.
- Contribute to real-time content generation during events.
- Ensure visibility of UNICEF and key partners in official and side events.
- Work closely with UNICEF sections and support UNICEF staff members to liaise with external partners.
- Coordinate with global and regional advocacy and communication teams.
- Support UNICEF staff members to align with Department of Health media and communication counterparts and other government media stakeholders.
- Ensure that conference-related media and communication activities are conducted in accordance with UNICEF safeguarding, child safeguarding, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards.
- Support safe, inclusive, and ethical participation approaches.
- Develop and implement a monitoring framework to track communication outputs and reach.
- Provide regular updates and a final report summarizing key outputs, media and social media results, and lessons learned and recommendations.
- Other deliverables as agreed by the supervisor and consultant.
Required Experience
- At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in the communication Philippines on:
- Health and Social issues
- Government coordination and policy processes
- Familiarity with Philippine media government systems with Department of Health is required.
Qualifications
Degree in communication, social sciences, humanities, education, marketing, public relations, digital communication, or related field.
