Overview
Consultant to support the operationalization of Child Protection System Strengthening (CPSS) as a model approach in specific Indian states, aiming to consolidate learnings and translate system assessments into systemic change for child protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operationalization of CPSS as a model approach.
- Conduct CRSA (Child Rights Situation Analysis) at multiple levels.
- Undertake direct consultations with children, DCPUs, and interdepartmental actors.
- Consolidate learnings of interventions into actionable strategies.
- Initiate and strengthen CPSS in Odisha and Assam.
- Translate system assessments into systemic change through CRSA validation, district- and state-level consultations, convergence planning, and development of Operational Strategic Documents (OSDs).
- Strengthen the implementation of Mission Vatsalya by embedding CPSS principles across departments, statutory bodies, and service mechanisms.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in child rights & protection.
- At least fifteen years or more experience in project planning, project implementation, coordination, research and evaluation and training, especially around child rights and protection.
- Good understanding of the government sector and its functioning.
- Preference for candidates with experience working with Government of Telangana/ AP/ KAR/Orissa/Assam.
Qualifications
• Post graduate Degree in Public Health or Social work or Education or Social Sciences / Psychology, preferably with a Doctoral Degree.
