Overview
The Operations Officer (Talent Management & Capacity Building) supports building operations talent management and technical capacity building efforts in field offices, and strengthens the operations community of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support to Operations Recruitment, including organizing logistics, preparing shortlists, coordinating panels, and facilitating approvals.
- Conduct analysis of specific recruitment needs and candidates.
- Support reference checking for Generic Vacancy Announcements (GVAs).
- Update and maintain Operations Talent Groups.
- Prepare technical summaries of Operations Talent Group members.
- Conduct monitoring of operations staffing reports.
- Provide technical support to the development and updates of Operations Talent Groups.
- Support outreach to source qualified Operations candidates.
- Gather and consolidate feedback on Generic Vacancy Announcement (GVA).
- Provide analysis on specific operation staffing cases.
- Act as focal point for the update of Operations technical courses on Agora.
- Gather data, update matrix, and produce progress reports on the implementation of the Operations Learning Strategy.
- Conduct analysis on specific technical knowledge gaps and propose solutions.
- Ensure proper logistics preparation and engagement for courses revision and/or development.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of a strategy for building the operations community of practice.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the United Nations, talent management and capacity building, operations management, learning and development, workforce planning, organizational development, training management, knowledge management, human resources, change management is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Other, public administration, business administration, management, human resources, psychology, and any other related fields.
