Overview

The Knowledge Management Advisor will strategically lead on knowledge management for Oxfam's humanitarian work, aiming to improve decision-making around technical standards, external influencing, and response improvements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and support the implementation of the knowledge management strategy for Oxfam’s humanitarian work.
  • Ensure technical advice and specific responsibilities on the implementation of some components.
  • Collaborate with other KM colleagues across the confederation.
  • Promote safe programming in all humanitarian responses.
  • Provide methodological approaches, frameworks and tools, as well as capacity building and steer, to advisors, country programmes and partners to ensure that knowledge management shapes programme decisions and follows feminist principles.
Required Experience
  • Experience in humanitarian response, including start-up of Cat 2 responses and ensuring programme quality with a focus on women-centred approaches.
  • Experience in knowledge management (KM), including systems, strategies, and implementation of learning processes in humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience in capacity sharing, including designing and delivering outcome-focused training, coaching, and staff development.

Languages Required
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills in English, including experience producing reports and documentation for diverse audiences.
