Overview

Review submissions for a youth competition, conduct a survey on corruption's impact on youth in Ukraine, and facilitate anti-corruption workshops.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the review of submissions of young applicants from Ukraine and help identify the winners of the youth competition.
  • Prepare and disseminate a qualitative survey on the impact of corruption on young people in Ukraine and prepare a report analyzing the quantitative data derived from the survey.
  • Prepare and review the translation of workshop materials, documentation, presentations, and communication materials provided by the GRACE team for the purposes of the workshops.
  • Facilitate and present during up to two anti-corruption capacity-building workshops in Lviv, Ukraine.
  • Produce a two-page summary of the workshop(s) to be presented as an outcome document to the representatives of the anti-corruption authorities.
  • Facilitate and present during the workshop on meaningful youth engagement in anti-corruption work together with representatives of the anti-corruption authorities.
  • Produce a report (max. 10 pages), highlighting the key areas of possible collaboration identified by young people and the representatives of the anti-corruption authorities during the workshop and support its translation into Ukrainian.
Required Experience

At least five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in anti-corruption, governance, rule of law, civic engagement, youth empowerment, education, or a related field is required. Experience in designing, organizing or facilitating capacity-building workshops, trainings or interactive learning activities is required. Previous experience working in Ukraine, including with Ukrainian youth, civil society or public institutions, is required. Previous experience working in the area of anti-corruption education and youth empowerment is desirable. Familiarity with UNODC’s anti-corruption education resources and/or the GRACE Initiative is desirable. Previous experience with the United Nations is desirable.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, public administration, social sciences, education, youth studies, communications, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
