Overview
Volunteer opportunity assisting with a needle exchange program, promotional activities, mother tongue and culture lessons, and clean-up events. The role involves supporting drug users with harm reduction advice and safe disposal of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with needle exchange programme: Volunteers will be fully trained by staff members, inducted and supported to work in the needle exchange where drug users can get new injecting equipment (needles, syringes, water, acid etc.), return used needles for safe disposal, get advice on safer injecting and harm reduction and make HIV and hepatitis tests.
- Promotional activities - on social networks and events, HELP promotes the rights of people who use drugs and their communities through advocacy to help achieve a world where drug policies and laws contribute to healthier, safer societies
- Mother language and culture lessons for the locals
- Clean up Every 2 weeks we organize clean-ups in order to keep our city safer and cleaner. Volunteers and staff members go to the spots where drug users usually gather and they clean the area .
- Development of a personal project

Experience in previous projects is not necessary.
