Overview
Volunteers will be directly involved in the day-to-day running of the organisation, coordinating and leading programmes for young people. The role involves assisting and supporting staff in delivering programmes throughout the academic year, including seasonal camps.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and leading programmes for young people afterschool and during school hours on site.
- Assisting/supporting staff delivering programmes including activities in sport, personal development, STEAM, team building and many more.
- Involvement in initiatives like our local draw.
- Participating in mandatory training with Ireland's national organisation for ESC, Leargas.
- Participating in weekly English classes.
- Participating in staff training, improving communication, team-building, IT, planning and leadership skills.
Required Experience
Volunteers with experience in youth-work or withhold skills working with young people are welcomed. Experience working in underserved communities or with people from disadvantaged/diverse backgrounds. Candidates that maintain confidence in delivering and leading programmes to young people will be preferred.
