Acción contra el Hambre Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala Volunteer opportunity: HUMANITARIAN VOLUNTEER IN LOGISTICS – GUATEMALA
You will support the development of Logistics of ACH-Guatemala and its Supply Chain preparedness actions for rapid response in Emergencies both in Capital and bases, help the Mission in market assessments, identification, and diversification of main suppliers to ensure a stable green, gender sensitive logistics and supply chain systems. You will also support the enhancement, monitoring and updating of ACH catalog and supplier lists, and ensure an accurate inventory of stocks to guarantee rapid deployment in close coordination with the Logistics Manager. You will participate in the identification of logistics needs and projects requirements, following Donor compliance Guidelines and ensuring the implementation of safety and security management procedures. You will review and analyze the inventory of equipment in the mission, propose or support actions to improve equipment management of the Mission. You will participate in communication activities on the ESC volunteering project. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accommodation, travel costs, visa, pre-deployment medical check + vaccinations (only if mandatory for the country), allowance will be covered. In case of need, a Fewer Opportunities Support will also be covered. A monthly Subsistence Lump Sum will be provided to cover basic needs such as food and personal hygiene items. Training during the activity Training during deployment will also be offered to improve the volunteer’s skills and competences. Participant profile You preferably have Logistics, Supply Chain and Engineering studies and professional knowledge of Spanish. You are process oriented, with knowledge/experience in monitoring and evaluation and impact assessment and good computer/IT skills. Experience in Logistics and supply chain is an asset. Eligibility: When applying to the position, please consider that candidates cannot exceed 12 months overall deloyments between previous participation to any ESC volunteering programs and this opportunity.
