Key Responsibilities

MIKKStreet represents activities related to street youth work, with the goal of including young people in the activities of the youth centre. Placement is for 2 volunteers. We are looking for 1 more volunteer at the moment. Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Join us in: 🤝 Talking with other young people to understand what matters to them. 💡 Promoting youth work and all the cool things happening at MIKK Youth Center. 🎤 Creating podcasts, videos, or blogs to share opportunities and stories. 🌐 Connecting with youth groups to work on solidarity projects. 🌍 Learning more about youth mobility programs. 🗣️ Hosting interviews and conversations about real issues and ideas. ✨ Being part of events and activities that bring young people together. Whether you love creating content, organizing events, or just want to get more involved — there's a place for you here! As a volunteer, you'll get your own apartment in the heart of Murska Sobota — complete with a private room, kitchen, bathroom, Wi-Fi, and all bills covered. Training during the activity - Audio-video tech & post-production - Digital photography & video - Basic web creation - Slovene language & local culture - Youth work fundamentals Training will be provided in the form of self study, workshops, lectures and mentoring. Participant profile The profile of the volunteers that we will include are young people between the ages of 17-30 who are eager to strengthen their competences on in the field of youth work, use of digital technologies, solidarity, knowledge of foreign languages, different cultures and are eager to achieve personal growth or development. They know the specifics and advantages of volunteering in the local community and society as a whole. They have a developed sense for identifying the needs of the community, especially those who are most vulnerable.
