The role involves working as a case handler within the European Commission, responsible for a portfolio of State aid cases across various sectors. The position requires economic and legal assessment of notifications and complaints, drafting decisions, and assisting in defending these decisions before European Courts.
Professional experience in State aid law and policy, particularly in the assessment of public service obligations under SGEI rules and Article 106(2) TFEU. Familiarity with sectors covered by the Unit (postal services, healthcare, housing, gambling, education, culture, maritime, or road transport) would be an asset. Knowledge of State aid and SGEI rules as they apply to the housing sector would be particularly welcome.
At least a level of education corresponding to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma. Qualifications must be issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities.
