Overview

The IT Intern will provide desktop support services to end users and oversee the office Network infrastructure configuration and management. The role aims to expose the intern to enterprise challenges and ensure technology implementations conform to global IT policies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and configure end users computers with IRC standard Operating system and applications versions.
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems across the Bamenda office and all field sites.
  • Configure and ensure proper working of computer peripherals such as scanners, printers, monitors, mouse.
  • Aid end users for the configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft suite products.
  • Assist on the monitoring and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure.
  • Work with IT Lead, NOC and ISP to ensure office connectivity to Internet and LAN.
  • Assist on Maintaining up to date IT documentation reflecting current computers assets status and network configurations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of IT project activities and resolution of IT issues.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the IT Manager.
Required Experience

Experience in printers, desktop and laptop installation and maintenance.

Qualifications

Bacc + 2 or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and/or equivalent in relevant field.

Languages Required
Good verbal communication and report-writing skills with the ability to convey information effectively in the Country's official languages (English and French).
Languages Preferred
French is an advantage.
