Overview
Conduct lecture tours on the history and work of the United Nations and participate in daily briefings. The role involves studying UN materials and responding to visitor inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-hour lecture tours on the history and work of the United Nations.
- Participate in daily briefings and special briefings on various topics.
- Study and research UN materials in English.
- Use tact and diplomacy in handling visitor questions.
- Plan, schedule, and dispatch tours daily.
- Ensure fair and efficient distribution of daily workload.
- Modify the pre-scheduled daily plan as needed.
- Prepare and conduct daily morning briefings to Public Information Assistants.
Required Experience
- At least one year of full-time experience as an official Tour Guide in an International Organization.
- Extensive work experience in public speaking and engaging diverse audiences in a customer service setting within an international organization.
- Prior experience conducting official tours for children and younger audiences.
Qualifications
A recognized first level degree is required
