Overview
Policy Officer role in DG CONNECT, European Commission, focusing on the implementation and development of the High-Performance Computing (HPC) strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the implementation of the HPC strategy.
- Focus on policy implementation and development, particularly regarding the evolution of the European HPC strategy and follow-up of EuroHPC JU implementation activities.
- Draft briefing, speeches, and inputs for adjacent units.
- Increase international activities of the unit for the HPC strategy and Destination Earth.
- Frequent contacts with the EuroHPC JU, colleagues across DG CONNECT, external stakeholders from academia, industry, and Member States, and other Commission services.
Required Experience
A degree in computer science, IT engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering, software engineering, or other degrees related to information and communications technologies (ICT), as well as private-sector experience in these areas, would be significant assets. Previous project management, user outreach and international tech relations experience are a significant advantage.
Qualifications
- Have a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
- Have passed an EPSO CAST in the relevant Function Group for this position.
