Overview

The Finance Manager will oversee the implementation of all finance-related policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives in Niger, ensuring financial sustainability and integrity.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of all Finance related policies, procedures, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Line management responsibility for direct reporting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, induction, development, and Duty of Care.
  • Develop and maintain country financial documents, procedures, guidance, and tools.
  • Maintain the country’s overall budget control and monitor cash flows.
  • Ensure budgeting, accounting, year-end procedures, and other financial processes adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, and donor and auditor requirements.
  • Train and develop NRC staff and partners’ capacity on financial and budgeting responsibilities.
  • Carry out a proper implementation for the Anti-Corruption Policy within all finance operations and activities.
Required Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior finance management role in a humanitarian or recovery context. Experience working in complex and volatile environments. Proven results related to financial management, compliance, and reporting. Solid knowledge of financial systems and accounting standards. Experience in West Africa or the Sahel region. Solid understanding of donor regulations and compliance requirements. Experience supporting multi-grant, multi-donor programme environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Languages Required
Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English, both written and verbal.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of NRC systems and tools is an advantage.
Contract Duration
Fixed term for 12 months, renewable based on funding and performance
