Overview

The Programme Technical Officer will assist the Chief Technical Advisor in managing programme implementation in the Asia-Pacific region, providing technical support and assistance for objectives, outputs, and activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
  • Collaborate with ILO Field Offices, HQ, DWT, and relevant projects.
  • Support partnerships with Korean partner institutions.
  • Strengthen cooperation with governments, workers' and employers' organizations, UN agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage programme events.
  • Provide administrative and technical backstopping.
  • Prepare technical progress reports.
  • Undertake project-related missions.
Required Experience

At least three years of relevant professional experience. Experience in the field of employment promotion and skills development. Familiarity with Just Transition, Social Protection, Skills Development and Social Dialogue, as well as experience in organising and managing multi-stakeholder events, workshops or conferences in an international development context is required.

Qualifications

A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in economics, social policy, public finance or other relevant field. Desirable: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in the relevant fields with demonstrated focus on employment, skills development and social protection issues.
