Overview

The Construction Engineering Technician - Senior Analyst plays a key role in planning, controlling, and monitoring construction and infrastructure rehabilitation projects. This role provides technical expertise in design, site supervision, quality control, contract management, and project execution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and understand building design and related activities, assisting in defining design requirements and managing the building design plan.
  • Provide technical support to the procurement team in preparing tender documents and analyzing submissions.
  • Supervise and manage the execution of building construction works according to project engineer directives and contract provisions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports of construction sites.
  • Participate in the resolution of problems with companies related to quality and deadlines.
  • Verify the quality of materials and equipment on construction sites.
  • Define and control tests for evaluating the quality of works.
  • Assist in the general management of construction works to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
  • Prepare project-related documentation, including periodic progress reports and site reports.
  • Supervise engineering studies and control works.
  • Assist in organizing teams and work, and in monitoring work methodologies.
  • Ensure the application of HSSE requirements on the construction site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on non-conformities, incidents, and near misses.
  • Participate in HSSE meetings, audits, and awareness activities.
  • Assist in providing training and ensuring technology transfer to national and contractor personnel.
Required Experience

At least four (4) years of experience in the control and monitoring of construction and/or rehabilitation projects of buildings and/or infrastructures are required. Knowledge of building design, sizing, and calculation is required. Relevant experience in drafting monitoring reports, meeting minutes, site instructions, and technical documents related to construction and/or rehabilitation projects of buildings and/or infrastructures, at all project phases, is an asset.

Qualifications

Must hold an undergraduate university degree (Licence/Bachelor or equivalent) in civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, or another relevant discipline. An AutoCAD certification is required. A MS Project certification is desirable.
