Overview

The Project Operations Assistant performs administrative, logistical, and operational tasks to support the daily activities of the project. The role involves assisting with project work plans, operations implementation, and liaising with various units and partners.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of project work plans and subsequent activities’ implementation.
  • Assist the team in the timely delivery of operations and provide suggestions to overcome bottlenecks.
  • Liaise with the Project Team, Administrative Unit, and Programme Unit on programme implementation issues.
  • Coordinate and support missions from FAO Offices, donors, governments, and other partners.
  • Provide support to the monitoring, evaluation, and learning of the programme.
  • Participate in project monitoring by maintaining registers and control tools.
  • Assist in preparing minutes of meetings, presentation materials, and project reports.
  • Prepare HR plans and monitor resource allocations and expenditures.
  • Provide assistance in the use of FAO systems-based tools in project management.
  • Ensure quality review of Purchase Requisitions.
  • Maintain close coordination with the FAOPH Procurement Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with donor visibility requirements and proper implementation of communication and visibility activities.
Required Experience

At least four (4) years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in project operations, with demonstrated familiarity with the operational context of Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Qualifications

University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or other related disciplines.
