Overview

Provides high-level project management, analytical, and coordination support to the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Contributes to the effective management of the Regional Director’s agenda and priorities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the coordination and management of communications with country offices, regional teams, headquarters and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manages and maintains the Regional Director’s calendar.
  • Coordinates executive-level meetings, official missions and regional and international travel.
  • Acts as a coordination point for key stakeholders engaging with the Regional Director.
  • Supports the coordination and management of communications with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintains all supporting documents required for audit and review processes.
  • Ensures accurate data entry into UNOPS ERP system (OneUNOPS) and OneUNOPS Projects.
  • Monitors all administrative procedures in line with the work plan.
  • Processes direct payments, as required.
  • Produces reports and monitoring tools for the Regional Director.
  • Provides substantive inputs to assist the Regional Director in the preparation of reports and documents.
  • Maintains organized records of project files and other supporting documents.
  • Contributes to the development and application of relevant tools and techniques.
  • Supports the compilation of lessons learned.
  • Contributes to the dissemination of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Supports capacity-building activities for personnel.
Required Experience

A Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management support and reporting is required. Desired Experience and demonstrated knowledge of UN/UNOPS rules and procedures in Procurement, Finance, HR Management and administrative rules and regulations is an advantage.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Project Management, Business Administration, International Relations, Finance, or another relevant discipline, is required. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree, provided the candidate has an additional two years of relevant professional experience.
