Overview

Manages a technical team responsible for building and maintaining complex software products supporting business processes in the Department of Safeguards. Drives software engineering, application security, and architecture decisions to align with long-term business objectives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of software developers.
  • Ensure collaborative and timely delivery of solutions using agile practices.
  • Ensure ICT products adhere to application security, architecture, usability, and divisional process standards.
  • Drive the Divisional Enterprise Architecture Group.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide team staff.
  • Lead and/or collaborate on the maintenance and improvement of secure software development, systems engineering, continuous deployment, continuous testing, and continuous integration processes.
Required Experience

Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in ICT with increasing responsibilities, including at least two years of experience in managing and coaching staff in a multicultural environment. Experience in designing, and leading the implementation of large service-based architectures and full stack development using frameworks such as .Net Core, Angular and Relational databases. Responsibility for overseeing the technical maintenance of a portfolio of applications, ensuring operational excellence; and knowledge of application performance management tools such as AppDynamics. Experience in establishing or contributing to enterprise architecture practices with a focus on secure software architecture. Experience with application security in a highly confidential environment. Experience in driving innovation within a team and leading innovation exercises, such as events storming, rapid prototyping and hackathons.

Qualifications

Master's Degree - Advanced university degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field. Bachelor's Degree - University degree in a stipulated field with two years of additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.

Remuneration
Tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $103165 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 53646*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
