Overview
Consultancy to conduct a desk review assessment for the Sanitation Programme Facility (SPF) in Kenya, gathering and analyzing existing data to inform the scale of financing, addressable market, and the recommended scope of the SPF.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze and consolidate existing documentation and data to inform the scale of financing required and the size of the addressable market.
- Inform the affordability gap and the implied value of the guarantee required to unlock lending.
- Inform the recommended scope and scale of the SPF in Kenya.
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in:
- WASH sector analysis (especially sanitation)
- Financial inclusion and microfinance
- Experience in Market-Based Sanitation (MBS) activities & assessments
Proven experience in:
- Desk-based research and analytical synthesis
- Policy and regulatory analysis
Strong understanding of:
- Sanitation value chains in Kenya
- Financial mechanisms for sanitation
Qualifications
Master`s degree in Economic studies, Finance studies, project management, Water and sanitation studies with specialization on WASH financing.
