Overview

This internship supports the implementation of the Knowledge Management and Learning (KM&L) Strategy for the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The role focuses on enhancing knowledge flows and creating an environment for learning and capacity building.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate training sessions for GEFSEC on the use of Microsoft Teams Channels, SharePoint Files and other collaboration tools.
  • Monitor the use of Collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint and produce periodic reports to identify usage gaps.
  • Work with the Senior KM Specialist to develop a plan to incentivize the use of Collaboration tools in GEFSEC.
  • Participate in the migration of legacy SharePoint Files to the new WBG platform.
  • Develop a profile of networking needs for development of the GEF knowledge and collaboration platform.
  • Assist with the development of knowledge sharing strategies and tools, including categories and types of knowledge products, their sources of origin, target audience and dissemination channels.
  • Other ad-hoc activities derived from the KM&L program in the GEF, including those related to Information Technology.
Qualifications

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate study program in Information and Communication Technology, Knowledge Management, and Computer Science. Proven academic, technical, and analytical background. Strong research and data analysis skills. Ability to work independently in a complex diverse setting. Sound organizational and data management skills.
