Overview

The World Bank Group's Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice seeks an intern to contribute to analytical and operational work examining resource mobilization and financing mechanisms for health sector objectives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting literature reviews and evidence syntheses on financing instruments.
  • Developing country case studies and comparative databases.
  • Contributing to background notes, policy briefs, technical reports, and management presentations.
  • Preparing presentations, briefing materials, and synthesis products.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability, improve incentives for results, and leverage additional resources within health sector programs.
Required Experience

Demonstrated interest in development work and the World Bank Group’s mission, with preference for those with interest in health finance, public finance, capital markets, sustainability-related finance, impact measurement, or international development. Preference for those with experience in R, Python, and data science.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, an undergraduate program with provision of official documentation confirming academic credit or external funding.
