Overview
Support project activities in graphic/web design and communication within the Department of Operational Support. The role involves designing visual assets and contributing to communication materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design core identity products that illustrate corporate vision, mission, and values .
- Design and prepare content/copy for corporate briefings, presentations, fact sheets, and snapshots.
- Support the development of websites, including layout, content, look and feel.
- Provide design support across a range of print and online products.
- Collaborate with the team to update and maintain the Services and Sections pages on SharePoint and iSeek.
- Create a communication plan for Social Media Platforms by selecting relevant topics, determining posting frequency, and exploring platform' integration options.
- Apply graphic design skills to enhance visual appeal, improve user experience, and ensure consistency with organizational branding.
- Incorporate interactive elements, icons, and layouts that make information more accessible and engaging for internal stakeholders.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify new ways to communicate initiatives.
- Assist in creating templates or style guides for future communications.
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Qualifications
To qualify for an internship with the UN, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). (b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent); or (c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above).
