Overview
Provide technical support for the implementation of UNICEF Guinea's PSEA Action Plan and coordinate UNICEF's leadership role within the United Nations PSEA Network in Guinea.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide technical support for the implementation of UNICEF Guinea's PSEA Action Plan.
- Coordinate UNICEF's leadership role within the United Nations PSEA Network in Guinea.
- Support the implementation, dissemination and periodic review of inter-agency PSEA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reporting mechanisms and referral pathways.
- Coordinate with WFP on the CFM system.
- Strengthen safeguarding and PSEA risk mitigation measures across UNICEF programmes, operations and implementing partners.
- Conduct or support SEA risk assessments, partner capacity assessments and the implementation of mitigation action plans.
- Design, facilitate and evaluate PSEA training and awareness sessions.
- Support the establishment and strengthening of safe, confidential and survivor-centred reporting and complaint mechanisms.
- Provide technical advice to ensure the integration of PSEA across UNICEF programme sectors and cross-cutting initiatives.
- Monitor implementation of PSEA activities, document progress, identify implementation gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare technical reports, briefing notes, presentations, donor inputs and other documentation.
Required Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Safeguarding, Human Rights or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience supporting safeguarding and PSEA systems within humanitarian and/or development settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating with UN agencies, international organizations, NGOs and government counterparts.
- Experience conducting SEA risk assessments, partner assessments and capacity-building initiatives.
- Experience developing policies, SOPs, guidance documents and action plans related to PSEA and safeguarding.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field.
