Overview

The Editorial Officer will lead the editorial line for the Refugee.Info Italy project, driving information campaigns and producing multimedia content for asylum-seekers, refugees, and migrants.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop bespoke, engaging multimedia content for Refugee.Info Italy digital platforms.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of the information campaign on the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum.
  • Work with project management to identify information needs, develop an editorial calendar, and plan ads campaigns.
  • Research training opportunities relevant to migrants and refugees.
  • Manage and maintain the website and social media channels of Refugee.Info Italy.
  • Build audiences for ads, promote content through ads campaigns, and maintain an online presence.
  • Coordinate with the Signpost technical and development team.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Analyse social media growth, engagement, and audience behaviour.
  • Produce quarterly KPIs reports, monitor web and social media KPIs, and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor Google Analytics, Zendesk Explore, and Meta/Facebook analytics data.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field of asylum and migration, media and communications, preferably with an NGO.
  • Knowledge of services, procedures, and legal frameworks relevant to the migration and asylum context in Italy.
Qualifications
  • Degree in communication, development communication, social sciences, law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • High proficiency in technology and software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Professional, Google products, social media platforms).
  • Proficiency in infographic software and/or experience in graphic design.
