Overview
The Programme Coordination Analyst will support the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) in implementing its work programme and planning for the future, as well as assisting with secretariat duties and communication activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support drafting and editing of concept notes, moderation notes, speaker invitations, speaker biographies, and communications material for GPEDC work and events.
- Compile feedback from diverse stakeholders on draft documents and track suggestions for incorporation.
- Follow discussions, take meeting minutes, and support follow-up on action items related to GPEDC work and events.
- Support communications activities, including updating website content, disseminating promotional material, drafting press releases, and developing social media toolkits.
- Lead speaker outreach and confirmation.
- Prepare planning documents and communications materials for GPEDC advocacy work and events.
- Ensure event logistics are handled by event sponsors and communicated to stakeholders.
- Mobilize and drive Steering Committee members to implement the Advocacy and Outreach Plan and develop a new plan.
- Support preparation of outcomes of the 4th monitoring round, including drafting stories of progress and blogs.
- Draft short write-ups summarising discussions and outcomes of government-led Action Dialogues.
- Support updating of country pages for the GPEDC website.
- Assist with planning and coordinating advocacy opportunities, including organizing side events and meetings.
- Draft and share key messages/briefs for partners engaged in events.
- Provide secretariat-related tasks as needed.
Required Experience
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level in Programme Coordination and Management.
- Proven knowledge of development cooperation in general and the aid effectiveness and effective development cooperation agenda.
- Experience in policy research and analysis and drafting of inputs for policy and knowledge briefs or communication products.
- Experience in administrative, coordinating and organizational tasks, with ability to plan, analyse, organize, implement and report on accomplished tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in communications and outreach.
- Knowledge of and experience supporting multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- Experience supporting the organisation of conferences and workshops, preferably with the United Nations or international organisation.
- Experience working at the developing country level/in developing country settings.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in public administration, public policy, international relations/affairs/ politics, international development studies, economics, business administration, social sciences or related disciplines is required.
- OR
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the above fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
