Overview

The GEO Technician (Geospatial Data Modelling Manager) is responsible for assessing location-based information data architecture and developing detailed data schemas to enable data-centric working from a geospatial perspective.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the assessment, management, and day-to-day activities of Location-Based Information.
  • Understand and design metadata repositories.
  • Manage data on exchange platforms and contribute to their evolution.
  • Develop coherent data schemas and produce data models.
  • Facilitate exchange within data owner communities to improve data interoperability and implement NATO standards.
  • Liaise effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate technological information to non-technical audiences.
  • Understand, develop, and apply data governance.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Geospatial intelligence.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data management and analysis of information structure.
Qualifications

Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training in geography, computer science, information technology, business administration or related discipline leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 3 years post related experience, OR Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience.
