Overview

Support the delivery of programme and project activities by managing project data and providing technical and financial support for project implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective support for management of the budget and financial management of projects.
  • Create project requisitions, register goods receipt, and support portfolio in creating vouchers, issuing requisitions, budget checking, and receipting in Quantum.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivables and follow up with partners on contributions.
  • Prepare financial reports for donors according to donor requirements.
  • Organize training for operations/projects staff and synthesize lessons learned.
Required Experience

Minimum of 7 years (with secondary education) or 4 years (with Bachelor Degree) in the field of development for project management support is required. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) is required. Relevant experience in administrative/ financial/ procurement/ asset management and project activities is required. Experience in liaising and coordinating with government counterparts would be highly desirable. Experience working with UNDP or other UN agencies and/or international organizations and/or major donor agencies will be an advantage. Experience in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing administration report. Advanced experience in spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is desired. Experience using budget/ travel management using UN/ UNDP rules and regulation would be desirable.

Qualifications

Secondary Education is required with specialized certification in accounting and/or Finance. University degree in Finance or Accounting is desirable. Part-qualified accountants from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy will have a distinct advantage. Fully Qualified Accountant, from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy or Full Completion of the UNDP Finance Training and Certification Programme (FTCP).
