Overview
Consultant to support the development and implementation of a regional Community of Practice on Disability-Inclusive Education Sector Planning, fostering networking and knowledge exchange among education planners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the CoP, including recruitment, onboarding, and animation of participants.
- Design and implement CoP activities, including online forums, resource libraries, and live events.
- Manage the CoP's online space, including content creation, posting, translation, and user management.
- Moderate forums and other exchange spaces.
- Systematize and archive information shared by participants.
- Amplify messages and learning emerging from the CoP.
- Source and curate relevant resources.
- Organize events.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and management of the CoP, including maintaining and improving the virtual platform.
- Support the design and delivery of CoP-DIESP thematic sequences.
- Cultivate a sense of community and collaboration among members.
- Design and deliver targeted communications to CoP members.
- Identify and support active community members and potential leaders.
- Keep abreast of the field of disability-inclusive education and source, adapt, and publish relevant content.
- Devise strategies to increase user engagement.
- Regularly update the informal forum with relevant information.
- Increase CoP membership by updating ecosystem mapping and liaising with partners.
- Welcome and integrate new members.
- Participate in data collection for monitoring and evaluation.
- Prepare a mid-year review report.
- Contribute to discussions on CoP results and impact.
- Contribute to the identification, preparation, and facilitation of collaborations.
- Establish a routine process to review technical forum discussions.
- Analyze CoP-DIESP members' contributions to identify collaboration paths and support needs.
- Produce periodic briefs summarizing forum insights.
Required Experience
Demonstrated professional experience (at least 3 years) in disability-inclusive education. Demonstrated experience (at least 1 year) of working with ministries of education and development partners in low- and middle-income countries. Demonstrated experience of using communication and presentation skills with multi-national audiences.
Qualifications
Master degree or equivalent in education, social sciences, communications or related fields.
