Overview

Provide technical support for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of social policy programming and related advocacy, focusing on child poverty reduction, social protection, public investments, and governance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Improve data on child poverty & vulnerability for policy and programme action.
  • Strengthen social protection coverage and impact for children.
  • Improve use of public financial resources for children.
  • Strengthen capacity of local governments to plan, budget, consult on and monitor child-focused social services.
  • Strengthen advocacy and partnerships for child-sensitive social policy.
  • UNICEF Programme Management.
Required Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in child poverty, social protection, public finance, budget analysis, decentralization, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, advocacy, strategic planning, delivery, financial management in relevant fields.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field.
