Overview

The Project Management Intern will support the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD) in planning and implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The role involves research, data management, communication, and event logistics.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, data recording and editing, policy analysis, and synthesis;
  • Develop and maintain platforms of dissemination of UNOSD data, news, and research through social media and other means;
  • Draft and/or translate communication materials of event and research products;
  • Assist with the logistics of organizing UNOSD flagship and annual activities events such as forums, conferences, trainings and workshops;
  • Perform administrative and clerical work related to the above;
  • Any other duties assigned
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants should have advanced knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
