WBG Pioneer - AI Engineer Intern

Overview

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work at the frontier of enterprise agentic AI, supporting the Integrity Vice Presidency's core functions by designing, developing, and deploying AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply AI development practices to design, build, and fine-tune AI agents and LLM-based solutions.
• Develop, test, and iterate on prompts to improve AI outputs.
• Support the optimization of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Use Azure cloud resources for data storage, processing, and retrieval.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate AI models into applications.
• Explore and evaluate emerging enterprise agentic AI frameworks and tools.
• Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of AI models, prompts, and design decisions.
• Participate in team meetings, provide progress updates, and present work.

Required Experience

0–2 years of relevant professional experience; academic, research, or project experience with AI/machine learning is required. Hands-on experience with Python and familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering (e.g., GPT models); exposure to RAG and agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) is an advantage. Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) and version control (Git) is desirable.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in, or in the final year of postgraduate (master's/PhD) program in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, engineering, or a related field.
