Overview
Undertake a value chain and market study to identify viable women's economic empowerment opportunities for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in four target provinces.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct desk review of national frameworks, labour market reports, value chain studies, climate resilience assessments, SGBV services, referral pathways, social services, and socio-economic support mechanisms.
- Map current WEE implementing partners and institutions.
- Develop an inception report outlining methodology, data collection tools, key informants, geographic coverage, and a work plan.
- Conduct participatory field research and market analysis with survivors, identifying high-potential value chains and market entry points.
- Analyze gendered and climate-related vulnerabilities affecting market participation.
- Evaluate urban, peri-urban, and rural differences.
- Assess availability, capacity, and gaps in WEE service providers.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships for skill-building, entrepreneurship support, vocational training, and savings groups.
- Provide strategic recommendations for survivor-centred WEE programming.
- Develop a practical implementation framework for integrating opportunities into GBV support and referral services.
Required Experience
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience. Proven experience in gender-responsive market assessments, value chain studies, WEE programming, or livelihoods. Expertise in SGBV, gender equality, and survivor-sensitive research. Experience working in Mozambique preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
