UNRWA Procurement Notice: Procure and Install PV Solar System in Syria and Procure Spare Parts – Package 1 at Damascus Area
The Sustainable Development Goals and UN development system reform efforts, coupled with grassroots demand and Host Government and other Member State priorities, present the opportunity for an enhanced UNRWA program of work that promotes the use of photo-voltaic systems and mainstreamed environmental sustainability efforts that satisfy the environmental dimensions of sustainable development. In view of the chronic energy crisis in Syria, it is necessary to increase the capacity of independent power generation facilities by using possible alternatives to generate clean and renewable energy to secure unintermittent power supply for critical and essential loads inside schools which provides educational services to Palestinian refugees in camp at the optimum level, UNRWA through this project, will ensure providing facilities in Syria Field Office with PV solar energy system in addition to the installation of generators to satisfy the refugees’ needs.
