WFP Procurement Notice: Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) – HQ26NF176 for Catering, Accommodation and Office Space Services for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting – Davos, Switzerland

Key Responsibilities

The United Nations World Food Programme hereinafter referred to as the “WFP”, with its Headquarters located in Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. About 17,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor. Through its Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Division, WFP engages with governments, businesses and institutions to mobilize resources and partnerships in support of its mandate. WFP participates annually in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, with the attendance of the Executive Director, senior leadership and a selected delegation. The WEF dates are usually published a few months in advance, and the event typically takes place in the second half of January, most often in the third week. Due to the unique logistical constraints of Davos during the WEF period — including extremely limited availability, high demand and short lead times — WFP seeks to identify qualified and experienced service providers capable of delivering accommodation, office space, meeting facilities and catering (food & beverage) services, either individually or as an integrated solution. The purpose of this request for EOI is to identify suppliers with verified technical and financial capacity to perform the service. Eligible suppliers will be invited to participate in the bidding process for the proposed tender. The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) is to identify suitably qualified suppliers with demonstrated technical, operational and financial capacity; assess market availability in a highly constrained environment; and establish a shortlist of suppliers who may be invited to participate in a subsequent competitive solicitation process. This EOI does not constitute a solicitation, nor does it represent a commitment by WFP to issue a tender or award a contract. After the deadline for submission of responses has passed, WFP will evaluate responses received and will notify eligible participants of the outcome of the evaluation. Please submit your response by the deadline indicated on the attached EOI document.
