Overview

The Programme Officer will facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth and timely implementation of programmes and operations, and improve information management by enhancing data collection and visualisation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and programmatic support to the Programme and Operations Team.
  • Review and validate programme outputs and deliverables.
  • Support planning of programme and operation activities.
  • Organise and coordinate information for meetings with stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure smooth and timely implementation of programmes and operations.
  • Monitor processes of contracts and pledges validations.
  • Ensure maintenance of the archive of programs and operations digital resources.
  • Keep SharePoint updated with documents.
  • Monitor compliance with activities, milestones and indicators.
  • Maintain and update monitoring tools, timetables, deliverables and work plans.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for Letters of Agreement.
  • Monitor commitments, deliverables and reports from agreements.
  • Support review, validation and quality control of programme and operational documentation.
  • Support follow-up of recommendations from monitoring, auditing, reviewing or internal control processes.
  • Maintain existing databases and information exchange systems.
  • Develop and supervise creation of dashboards.
  • Establish and improve clear information flows.
  • Create base maps, infographics, presentations and other data visualisation products.
  • Promote the use of the GO Platform and other IFRC platforms.
  • Generate country contexts analysis.
  • Strengthen IM capacities at the Venezuelan Red Cross.
  • Develop and maintain programme and operational monitoring matrices.
  • Support consolidation of information and evidence for reports and accountability exercises.
  • Monitor and analyse key indicators.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of more efficient ways of running the office.
  • Stay abreast of latest developments, trends, and innovations.
  • Identify opportunities for improving administrative and operational processes.
  • Support preparation and organisation of documentation for audits, programme reviews, donor follow-up and quality assurance processes.
Required Experience
  • 3 + years' professional work experience in activities related to management of humanitarian, social and/or related programs.
  • 3+ year(s) experience data visualization with the ability to translate complex digital information into clear and appealing graphical representations.
  • Preferred: Experience developing budgets
  • 3 + years' experience with an international non-governmental organization, and/or government development agency
  • Experience within Red Cross or non-governmental organizations
  • Event management experience
Qualifications

University Degree or its equivalent in social science, or related.
