Overview
Support communication, planning, and execution of advocacy, partnerships, and communications activities. Provide administrative and technical services to ensure the smooth running of the Communications Section.
Key Responsibilities
- Collects information and conducts interviews for communication products.
- Helps organize public support for special events and activities.
- Assists in updating content on UNICEF social media platforms.
- Develops and maintains collaboration with mass media and relevant organizations.
- Liaises with contractors for communication asset production.
- Assists in the review of communication products for quality control.
- Monitors dissemination of communication materials.
- Establishes and maintains a documentation center for publications and media materials.
- Plans and issues payments, follows up on cash advance, liquidation, and budget.
- Prepares and maintains records for monitoring communication strategy implementation.
- Scrutinizes plans of operations and takes follow-up action.
- Assists in the administrative process of requests for assistance.
- May carry out specific administrative operational/control tasks for project/programme activities.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience
A minimum of six years of relevant administrative or clerical work experience is required. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work.
