Overview

Coordinate and oversee emergency response projects, ensuring high-quality activities aligned with organizational standards. This role involves planning, implementation, and reporting for Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) assistance to people affected by crises.


Key Responsibilities
  • Line management of reporting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development.
  • Provide operational support and coordinate RRM trainings for staff and partners.
  • Identify rapid and effective RRM assistance approaches in collaboration with partners.
  • Plan and initiate RRM Programme activities, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Select and implement programme mechanisms based on assessments, coordination, and resources.
  • Facilitate the development of quality proposals, budgets, and donor reports.
  • Participate in coordination mechanisms with UN agencies, NGOs, government, and local organizations.
  • Coordinate and oversee emergency response projects, including prioritization and activity plans.
  • Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of periodic progress reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and proposal writing of RRM emergency response projects.
  • Contribute to business development for the RRM portfolio.
  • Contribute to context analysis and scenario development for potential displacements.
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of contingency plans and RRM emergency response plans.
  • Monitor humanitarian developments, displacement trends, and emerging needs.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to support principled access.
  • Support access negotiations in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Conduct regular reviews of progress against indicators and lessons learned.
  • Ensure quality implementation of RRM activities at field level.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation quality and provide support.
  • Monitor local partners for compliance with standards and reporting requirements.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyse RRM data and submit required reports.
  • Facilitate the production of public-facing reports and updates.
  • Support the development and monitoring of RRM emergency budgets.
  • Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to develop and oversee internal monitoring systems.
  • Coordinate the development and follow-up of detailed implementation plans.
  • Coordinate the RRM response with humanitarian partners and other actors.
  • Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of rapid needs assessment reports.
  • Ensure the development of quality control and monitoring/evaluation standards for the emergency response.
  • Perform any other tasks as delegated by the line manager.
Required Experience
  • Experience in line management responsibilities, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction and development.
  • Experience in operational support and coordination of trainings.
  • Experience in identifying rapid and effective approaches for assistance.
  • Experience in planning and start-up of RRM Programme activities.
  • Experience in selecting and implementing programme mechanisms suited to humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience in facilitating the development of quality proposals, budgets and donor reports.
  • Experience in participating in coordination mechanisms involving UN agencies, other NGOs, government authorities, and local organizations.
  • Experience in overall coordination and oversight of emergency response projects.
  • Experience in coordinating prioritization and validation process for interventions.
  • Experience in developing detailed activity plans and budgets.
  • Experience in coordinating the preparation and consolidation of periodic progress reports, updates, and other documentation.
  • Experience in coordinating the design, development, and proposal writing of RRM emergency response projects.
  • Experience in contributing to business development for RRM portfolios.
  • Experience in leading programme design, concept note development, proposal writing, and input into donor engagement materials.
  • Experience in context analysis and development of scenarios for potential displacements.
  • Experience in supporting the development, review, and implementation of contingency plans and RRM emergency response plans.
  • Experience in monitoring humanitarian developments, displacement trends, access constraints, and emerging emergency needs.
