Overview
The Data Architecture Analyst will define, govern, and document the enterprise and data architecture for the IACS platform, supporting the Digital National Farmers Registry and connected components. The role focuses on establishing a canonical data model, integration strategy, and architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern the IACS enterprise and data architecture, including the Enterprise Architecture Document (EAD) and Canonical Data Model (CDM).
- Elaborate the integration strategy between IACS components and design data synchronization mechanisms.
- Define data quality standards and design the API architecture for IACS.
- Design the IACS security architecture and compliance with national requirements.
- Inventory, analyse, and propose a unified canonical model for sectoral registries under MAIA.
- Design the interconnection architecture between sectoral registries and the IACS ecosystem.
- Establish and maintain the ADR register, produce coding standards, and participate in architectural reviews.
- Provide mentoring and structured knowledge transfer to MAIA and AIPA technical counterparts.
- Review and validate architecture and technical deliverables produced by external contractors.
- Analyse architectural risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Support institutional change management by contributing to documentation, policies, and standards.
- Facilitate cross-team technical communication and serve as the primary architectural escalation point.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible relevant experience in data architecture, data modelling, database design, systems analysis, information systems integrations, data governance, and management of data structures within complex information systems.
- Demonstrated experience from at least one (1) completed assignment involving the analysis and documentation of data structures for a complex information system, including the development or substantive revision of conceptual or logical data models, data dictionaries, data-flow mappings, or data-integration specifications.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, or related field(s).
- Or a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional four (4) years of qualifying experience.
