Overview
Oversee the evaluation, planning, and execution of refurbishment/retrofitting activities across designated healthcare facilities/centers to ensure compliance with environmental sustainability, climate resilience, WASH, and waste management standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct needs assessments for interventions, including site assessments and infrastructure condition surveys.
- Develop detailed workplans with tasks, timelines, resource allocation, procurement requirements, and budget estimates.
- Draft adjudication reports, prepare technical documentation for procurement, review bids, and provide technical evaluations.
- Supervise and monitor construction, installation, and retrofitting works.
- Ensure integration of climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and WASH standards.
- Provide regular site progress reports, including technical updates, risk assessments, and mitigation measures.
- Conduct final inspections and certify completion of works.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy (MISE) for scoping assessments, BOQ reviews, quality assurance inspections, and progress/completion reports.
Required Experience
At least two (2) years of relevant experience working with government projects such as building and maintenance of government buildings or healthcare facilities, especially working on outer island construction projects.
Qualifications
University degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, architecture, building services engineering, environmental health, public health or related fields.
