Overview
Provide medical expertise and technical leadership to safeguard and strengthen the physical health of MSF staff across OCBA operations through preventive health systems, case management support, and the development of decentralized staff health strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide preventive health guidance and medical support to international mobile staff.
- Advise missions and operational teams on staff health management practices.
- Assess complex staff health situations and facilitate access to specialized medical expertise.
- Coordinate medical evacuations and post-evacuation follow-up.
- Lead the implementation and continuous development of OCBA’s decentralized physical staff health strategy.
- Support and mentor Physical Staff Health Focal Points and relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and update staff health policies, guidelines, protocols, training materials, and operational standards.
- Monitor and analyze staff health activities and contribute to planning, reporting, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience
- Previous MSF experience in a field-based medical or medical coordination role within a humanitarian setting.
- Staff health management and preventive health approaches.
- Medical risk assessment and fitness-for-work evaluation.
- Emergency medical response and medical evacuation processes.
- Humanitarian health operations and MSF contexts.
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD) and valid professional qualification to practice medicine.
