Coordination Officer

Overview

The Coordination Officer will provide dedicated support to the Minister's Secretariat, assisting in health system governance, administration, and policy matters to build health system resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing health policies, programs, and initiatives.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations on policy formulation, modification, and implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate efforts aligning external assistance with national health priorities.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of health policies and programs.
• Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations.
• Provide technical assistance in planning during FYP formulation.
• Monitor policy implementation as per the policy monitoring framework.
• Analyze government policies and advise the Minister on policy matters.
• Undertake any other task as assigned.

Required Experience

At least ten years of experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder efforts in health preparedness initiatives, implementing public health workplans, aligning external assistance with national priorities, and preparing high-level reports, briefs, and communications. Demonstrated expertise in conducting policy research and data analysis. Understanding of the health system in Bhutan and familiarity with national health priorities and challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, strategic coordination, executive support, or programme management.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in public policy, Public Health, Public Administration, or another closely related discipline from a recognized university.
