Overview
This internship provides graduate-level students with practical experience in multilateral technical cooperation and international development, supporting the Communications Team in daily activities and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily news clippings.
- Assist in website maintenance and updates.
- Translate documents between English-Portuguese and Spanish-Portuguese.
- Support writing communications materials, stories, reports, press releases, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare social media content and assist in strategy implementation.
- Explore new online and social media tools.
- Prepare analytical reports on website and social media performance.
- Assist in creating and updating design and layout of communication materials.
- Support video production and audio projects.
- Gather information on UNDP's mandate and projects.
- Assist in event preparation, organization, and coverage.
- Support with event photos and executive photos.
- Assist in managing and updating mailing lists.
- Handle telephone calls and requests from the press, public, partners, and internal clients.
- Perform other related tasks.
Required Experience
- Computer skills are required.
- Ability to work with Adobe Creative Suite, and related software, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.
- Knowledge of photojournalism.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); OR enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); OR have graduated with a university degree and start the internship within one-year of graduation.
- Studies should be in fields such as Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Design, or other related fields.
