Overview

Support timely and accountable supply chain operations for UNICEF’s EVD preparedness and response, contributing to supply planning, procurement follow-up, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support timely and accountable supply chain operations for UNICEF’s EVD preparedness and response.
  • Contribute to supply planning, procurement follow-up, warehousing, inventory management, fleet and transport coordination, distribution, last-mile delivery monitoring, partner support and regular reporting on stocks, pipeline, risks and delivery progress.
  • Work across health facilities, points of entry, community-based response sites, partner warehouses and other priority locations to ensure proper receipt, storage, documentation, allocation, dispatch and monitoring of UNICEF-provided emergency supplies.
  • Support preparedness actions, including pre-positioning, readiness checks, supplier and market mapping, contingency planning and practical improvements to field supply tracking and reporting tools.
  • Frequent travel to high-risk counties, border areas, health facilities, warehouses and points of entry will be required.
Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in supply, logistics, procurement, warehousing, inventory management, fleet or transport coordination, contracting, administration and/or other directly related technical fields is required. Strong operational coordination, planning, problem-solving, analytical and reporting skills are required, including the ability to prepare clear stock, pipeline, distribution and risk updates for management decision-making.

Qualifications

A university degree in business administration, management, economics, supply chain management, logistics, procurement, contract/commercial law, international development, health or another related social science field is required.

Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language, including languages commonly spoken in Western Equatoria, is an asset.
