Overview

The Senior Project Development and Reporting Associate assists in the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities, including the development of concept notes and project proposals. The role involves compiling, analyzing, and presenting project information, monitoring trends, and drafting reports and correspondence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities, including support for the development of concept notes and project proposals.
  • Compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Monitor emerging trends and priorities in line with IOM frameworks and donor requirements.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination of development processes.
  • Draft status reports and correspondence on donor reports.
  • Prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, and other documentation.
  • Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
  • Respond to complex information requests and inquiries.
  • Support the monitoring of funding opportunities.
  • Maintain liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders.
  • Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and concept papers.
  • Provide general support for the development of new projects.
  • Provide guidance/training and assist in coordinating and monitoring work of other staff in the unit.
  • May supervise other staff as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting the drafting and development of result-based concept notes, and project proposals, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector and migration related.
  • Experience contributing to the preparation of narrative and financial reports to donors and other relevant counterparts.
  • Experience supporting donor reporting processes and responding to calls for proposals.
  • Experience related to project cycle processes and related reporting requirements.
Qualifications

High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.

Languages Required
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
