Overview
The Programme Analyst contributes to programme coordination, partnerships, advocacy, national capacity development, and financial resource management within a Country Office environment. The role involves analyzing trends, formulating projects, and providing technical support for sexual and reproductive health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to the formulation and design of the country programme and its component projects.
- Providing technical support to the design and implementation of innovative strategies, approaches, and policies, with a particular focus to sexual and reproductive health.
- Providing technical support to the strengthening of the health sector.
- Contributing to advocacy and resource mobilization efforts.
- Ensuring quality of programme and projects design.
- Analyzing and interpreting the political, social and economic environment relevant to UNFPA’s programme.
- Keeping abreast of new policy developments and strategies.
- Expediting and coordinating project implementation.
- Facilitating the timely and efficient delivery of project inputs and addressing training needs of project personnel.
- Supporting the creation, documentation and sharing of knowledge (lessons learned, best practices).
- Preparing relevant documentation such as project summaries, conference papers, speeches, and donor profiles.
Required Experience
Two years of professional experience in the field of development and population activities, preferably in programme/project management.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in medicine, public health, sociology, international development, or other related field.
